Your first acupuncture appointment

  • Bring your insurance card

  • Tongue diagnosis, an important diagnostic element of Traditional Chinese Medicine
  • Pulse diagnosis, an important diagnostic element of Traditional Chinese Medicine
  • Palpation of acupoints, as applicable
  • Discuss your diagnosis
  • Discuss your treatment plan

The second part of your visit will be your acupuncture treatment with use of other therapeutic methods such as infrared, cupping, TuiNa, electrical acupuncture as they fit in your treatment plan.

We like to make sure that you and Dr. Carey have enough time to discuss your health history. Please plan 90 minutes at least for your fist visit.

  • Your followup visits will be about between 45-60 minutes.
